"Subject: Question for the taper?
Why the 80Hz bass rolloff? Great recording otherwise, but my speakers and sub are missing the bass!! Wouldn't think the small room would require the rolloff, especially with a solid set of mics with smooth low-end response. I don't want to sound like one of those complainers (i probably still do), just wondering if there's something i'm missing? still sounds real good regardless, and utmost thanks to the taper for sharing.
Ever since the days of onstage SKB taping, recordings don't get much better than this!"

Thanks for the compliment!

I use the roll-off because my large diaphragm mics get very rumbly in some rooms...plus I've ruined more than one Kimock recording (HSMF) running them 'flat' because there was so much signal in the lower end that it overpowered the rest of the spectrum. On-stage I can always run them flat but I have to watch it when I'm near the back of the house.

This band is on fire! That pitch-shift trick in Merl's Boogie is sick!!! Nice recording. Small correction: s01t03 is "Crazy Engine", not "Movin' and Groovin'".

Subject: HOT HOT HOT!!
This is the best SKCE show I have heard yet! They are just on fire from note 1 of thing 1 and the crowd is into it and feeding off the energy. I just listened straight through and totally lost track of time. Oh yeah... and what the hell did Kimock just do between 4:28-4:35 of Merle's Boogie?! That was sick. Listen to this one folks - LOUD.
